Untrimmed branches will destroy your roof

Cleaning two-story homes sometimes requires walking the roof. One of the most common things I come across up there is tree limbs, and a lot of the time, they’re still attached to the tree. From afar it looks like you just need trimming, but once you cut those limbs back you will notice your roof granules are all gone!

As if the damage from tree limbs wasn’t enough, they also provide your home with a complimentary soundtrack of scratching and scraping every time the wind blows. Think it’s squirrels? Maybe. Maybe not. Meanwhile, those overhanging branches are constantly dropping leaves and debris onto your roof, creating the perfect environment for mold, algae, and decay. The extra shade keeps everything nice and damp, just the way mold likes it. And if that’s not enough, you’ve essentially installed a wildlife bridge directly to your roof. Bugs, lizards, squirrels, and the occasional snake no longer need an invitation they’ve got direct access.
